My Expenses is an Apple-only expense tracker with no separate account system. Your sheets and expenses stay on your devices and, when you choose to share, in your private iCloud data.
Expense data
The app stores sheets, categories, expense details, members, settings, subscription access, and widget summaries locally. Expense descriptions, amounts, categories, member names, and receipt contents are not sent to our own server.
iCloud sharing
If you enable sync or share a sheet, Apple CloudKit stores and synchronizes its data using your iCloud account. People you invite can access the shared sheet. Apple processes this data under its privacy terms, and you control participants through the app and iCloud.
Receipts
Receipt recognition uses Apple frameworks on your device. The app may retain the receipt image and extracted details in the selected sheet so they can sync through iCloud when enabled. Receipt contents are not sent to analytics, crash reporting, or purchase services.
Analytics and crash reports
When analytics are enabled, the app may send limited product events to PostHog, such as creating or deleting a sheet. Events do not include amounts, receipt contents, sheet names, categories, member names, or other financial data. You can disable analytics in Settings.
The app may use Sentry for technical crash and error reports. It is configured not to send screenshots, view hierarchies, default personal information, memory snapshots, or performance traces.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store purchases. The app may use RevenueCat to check purchase status. RevenueCat can process an anonymous app identifier and transaction details, but not your payment card or expense data.
Website data
This website has no accounts, advertising, or first-party analytics. Vercel may process standard request and security logs to host and protect it.
Your choices
You can disable analytics, stop sharing a sheet, manage iCloud access, delete app data, and manage purchases through Apple. For privacy requests involving analytics or crash data, contact privacy@myexpenses.xyz.
